Annual Golf Championship: New Year – Same Results!
The 2024 Annual Golf Championship was once again blessed with beautiful summer-like temperatures on a sunny fall day in Maine. Most of our regular players were back on the course enjoying some late season golf and friendly competition.
This year’s event was Stroke Play and 14 players doubled up across the course for a chilly 9:00 start. Hopes were high to unseat four-peat champion, Mike Ramini, during four rounds of golf.
However, as the temperatures heated up, so did our champion. Mr. Ramini was set on keeping his name on the winner’s board right from the get-go and finished with a commanding lead over the rest of the field.
Another familiar site was the Dumont twins battling each other for second place with Sean Dumont eventually besting Willie by a slim two shots to claim a hard-fought #2 spot.
During the event the participants enjoyed a wide array of refreshments and some good natured ribbing throughout.
