It’s always hard to end the golfing season, but alas, the winter weather has arrived and Pine Hollow Little Par 3 has taken down the sign and closed for the season.
After a slow start, due to an unusually cold and wet spring, the 2019 golfing season at Pine Hollow Little Par 3 was soon in full swing. For those who purchased a Season Pass, you were able to enjoy the course right through the end of October as we enjoyed a beautiful Fall.
This was a busy season at ‘The Hollow.’ After the sad passing of founder, Bob L’Heureux, a memorial stone was placed beneath the flag at the 1st hole to remember the man who was eager to make new friends and share his love of the game. In his honor, the 2019 Golf Season included the 1st Annual Sanford/Springvale Chamber of Commerce “Robert (Bob) L’Heureux” Golf Tournament in June, which was a great event enjoyed by 72 players who came out for a great golf contest and to remember and honor the man who made it possible.
The Annual Pine Hollow Little Par 3 Golf Tournament challenged its participants with ‘Match Play’ competition in October where Sean Dumont claimed the title by just one stroke.
Thanks to all who came out to play and we look forward to seeing you again next Spring when the snow has melted and the grass has greened and we polish up our clubs for some more rounds of golf.
