It’s always hard to have to welcome in the shorter days and colder temperatures, but we’ve reached that difficult time when we must accept that golfing season has come to an end. Pine Hollow Little Par 3 officially closed for the season after the clubs stopped swinging on November 11, 2024.
Highlights from the 2024 Golf Season
Once again, the season opening date was pushed into May as York County dealt with a 1-2 punch of damaging winter storms.
With help from friends, family and a great group of guys from Shaw’s Warehouse, the course was cleaned up and ready to open on May 2nd.
Chamber Tournament
Sadly, the annual Bob L’Heureux Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by the Sanford/Springvale Chamber of Commerce was not able to be run due to a lack of participation. Hopefully we’ll be welcoming teams back for this great tournament and fundraiser in 2025.
Despite that disappointment, we have to say the overall weather for this season surely did not disappoint. Loads of sun and summer warmth that extended well into the fall.
Golf Championship
No rain delay this year as the Annual Pine Hollow Little Par 3 Golf Championship welcomed summer-like temperatures on a late October Saturday for a fun and challenging competition. 14 players took to the course for 3 rounds of Stroke play competition.
Does the guy in the photo look familiar? You bet! Mike Ramini took the trophy for an unheard-of 5-peat victory.
Thank You!
We hope everyone that came out to Pine Hollow Little Par 3 this season had a great time and enjoyed our challenging little course. We appreciate everyone who comes out each year, from long-time enthusiasts to first-time visitors. Thank you for a wonderful season!
Stay safe and healthy over the long winter months and be sure to check back in the spring for our opening date (hopefully in April this time).
