Chamber Tournament Recap
A sunny day in the 80’s was on tap for the Annual Sanford/Springvale Chamber of Commerce “Robert (Bob) L’Heureux” Golf Tournament on July 10th at Pine Hollow Little Par 3. Eleven teams from area businesses tested their mettle on the greens in a friendly fundraising competition.
This year’s play was a Scramble – all players from each 4-person team tee off, the best shot is selected, and everyone plays their next shot from that spot.
Teams were staggered over 9 holes for the shotgun start at 3:00 pm and the competition was on!
Congratulations goes to Team Edward Jones. Willy & Sean Dumont, Greg Kenney, and Mike Ramini finished with a commanding score of 39.
Team Central Maine Power & The Wolves Social Club won a hard fought tie for second with a score of 47.
The Partners Bank team came dressed for success, but found themselves in a tie for last place with Cruisin’ Infusions scoring 55 on the day.
As you can see, their placement on the scoreboard did nothing to dampen their enthusiasm or lessen the fun in this friendly competition.
